This app is trash it never takes a picture like it claims and it takes way too long to update the location + it isnt accurate....i want my money back!! I spent $5 for something iOS provides free i cant believe this

Doesnt send tracking info unless you launch the app...and put in the code! I actually bought the PC version too. That one at least emails me immediately. Its great! It sends me a picture of myself and tells me that my laptop is located in the middle of the ocean off the coast of Africa.

I setup my iPod Touch and installed and activated the tracker from my computer. It sent me a location in about 10 minutes and was right at my garage door. Close enough for me! I tried downloading the camera reports from the GadgetTrak app on the Touch but it kept telling me I have to "buy the app before I could use it." Which is exactly what I was did already. Anyone else have this issue?

I have installed this app both on iphone and ipad and to make a long story short, this app does not work at all. I dont even get a response from the support team. If your device is stolen you want a location right now. Not in 10 minutes. I have started tracking several times and not once received a location. This is the first time a ask for a refund. I want my money back.

had gadgettrak for a while. also have find-my-iphone. and although gadgettrak gave me some peace of mind, some things about it seemed to always bother me in the back of my mind to be bad in the design of the app. for instance, the user, or whoever has the iphone, has to respond to a push notification. a popup for the notification could appear but the user could ignore it by pressing the close button instead of pressing the launch button. and therefore the app doesnt start and no tracking is done. or the notification could have been set as a banner that appears at the top of the screen that can be easily ignored and cleared. again, the app is not launched and no tracking is done. and then theres that location arrow thats always at the top of the screen in the menubar. the gadgettrak folks say that doesnt use any battery, but even though i was believing that before, im not so sure about that now. whether if the battery is being used or not, but if the app can be IGNORED when a notification comes in where the notification is hoping to trick the user into opening the app, then having the location turned on all the time for this app is useless. so, the design of this app is fatally flawed where it goes from a 50% chance that the user will click the close button instead of the launch button on a notification popup -to- almost no chance if the notification has been changed to a banner. and this is assuming there is no passcode set for the lockscreen. if there is a passcode for the lockscreen, then there is really zero chance of the app being activated for any tracking to even begin. im guessing that this app was most likely pushed out as a flawed afterthought for something to sell to customers who already have gadgettrak on their computers and who may happen to have iphones. but is this app worth keeping on an iphone at all? well, maybe yes but thats where you always have to manually click on the app to turn it on, turning on the location for this app, turning on tracking all the time, clicking the launch button when you get the notification because you cant count on anyone else to click the launch button, and then always have the app sitting in the multitasking bar to be in background all the time. but thats such a waste to have to do all this when this should all be automated. theres probably no hope that this gadgettrak app will be revamped in the near future to make this app less fatally flawed. this app hasnt been updated since February 2011 and this review is being written in April 2012. fortunately, theres always the find-my-iphone app which is much more dependable although it doesnt keep all the reports that gadgettrak does.

I rate the app as fair. At times it works as expected and other times it does not. For instance, I enabled GadgetTrak for the whole day and it did not report any activity for that day. The same goes for the camera app.

Very disappointing. Worked for a day then nothing. Worse , not responding to two emails and two calls to their office.

It works for a day and now they did not answer at emails. I leaved active tracking for few days and even one email or somethig else about location not came. Dont buy it.

I have this product on 3 devices. Never needed it. My wife misplaced her phone. Enabled from web and nothing. I enabled all my devices and no data. I read all the FAQs, contacted support 3 times and no response. Dont waste your time or money.

I have sent 2 emails and have not heard back for several days. I have gadgettrack properly installed on my iPhone and iPad. I purchased the ap on Thursday July 12 and installed it on both devices and registered both devices. I then went to settings on the iPhone and purchased the photo option. It did not transfer to my iPad so I purchased it again on my iPad. I also set both devices to track at 1 minute intervals. I turned tracking on for both devices. I have read all of your faqs and also downloaded and read the guides. When I tested the product on my iPhone it generated a few reports but very sporadic and certainly not at one minute intervals. And then it inexplicable stopped reporting. It also only sent a couple of pictures although the phone seemed to take several pictures. I then tried to test the iPad with much the same results except for the fact that it never did take any pictures or send any pictures. I then disabled tracking on both devices and emailed support. Last night I tried again to test the tracking on the iPhone. I only got it to generate a couple of reports and send one picture and then it stopped working again. One thing I wouLd like to know is what is supposed to trigger it to take a picture? This seems like it could be a great ap if you can help me to get it working consistently. If not then it is worthless to me and I would like a refund of the cost of the ap as well as both photo add ons. One other concern is that the reports generated were time stamped incorrectly. They were several hours ahead. I also had my daughter purchase the ap of her iPhone and the photo add on so we would like that refunded also if we cannot resolve this.

This app is absolute junk. Did not find my iPad unless I ran the app and turned on tracking. What thief in their right mind would turn on the app so they can be tracked. Ive contacted support multiple times and have yet to get a response. DONT BUY!!!

I bought it and installed it on my iPad. Sure enough, the iPad was stolen along with other goodies in my suitcase. Had tracking enabled, but so far no reports. I did NOT have a passcode on the iPad or a restriction on the app, had just installed it and was still messing around with settings. I immediately contacted GT via their website form, and got NO response from them. I also emailed them and got NO response. I even left voicemails for their president, marketing director and others with NO response. It is very difficult to find a street address or phone number for the company -- it requires a good amount of searching on Google. They really DO NOT WANT TO BE CONTACTED. I have a feeling its just a shell company and am REALLY sorry I had any trust in them or their app. DO NOT BUY IT.

I have sent three emails to the company over the past month and have received zero replies. GadgetTrak is worthless if you have a passcode on your phone, because for it to start tracking, the person in possession of the phone must open a push notification that has been sent to it. A thief wont know the passcode. Even when I opened the notification and the camera snapped the photos, the photos never showed up in the logs. I want my money back.

Again no camera snap function although it says it does. Wasted 4.99 on this stupid app. Dont even bother its worthless

I was looking for a APP that would take would take pictures with the front camera… So I bought the Camera Reports too… Wasted U$4.98! Worst app ever. Does the same thing as Find My Phone… CAMERA REPORTS DOESNT WORK!

Apple, this app needs to be removed!!

Are these guys still in business? I got an email verifying that my iPhone is registered but I cannot get any tracking info -- just a message that no tracking info data for my device is available. I sent 2 emails from the support webpage and 2 as a reply to the verifying email -- no response after 3 days. I tried calling the phone # on the company website but get a message "you have reached a non-working number". What gives?

This worked until the iOS update and now the message that triggered the camera can just be ignored. Killing the security and camera features. Was a great idea thanks Apple.

I purchased app because of camera option to enhance finding iPhone. Purchased camera, set it up properly and Punched in wrong code and............ You guessed it. Nothing

I purchased this app for my iPhone and it has mysteriously stopped working. Ive tried to contact GadgetTrak for support in resetting my Username/Psswrd to see if that would fix the problem. when you actually contact customer support, they say theyll get back to you within 24 hours and dont. Very frustrating. Just save yourself the money and rely on "Find my iPhone!"
