With all of the photos, contacts, apps and music on your iPhone, losing it would be a massive pain. Unfortunately, that pain is felt by thousands of smartphone users every day. Ask them—they wish theyd had GadgetTrak installed.

When your device is missing, log into your account using any web browser and enable tracking immediately. GadgetTrak will spring to life and generate location reports, including map points, longitude & latitude and IP address to help you pinpoint your lost device. It can even snap photos of the thief!

For extra security, enable the "Deleting Apps" restriction in Settings App->General->Restrictions. This will keep the thief from deleting GadgetTrak (and any other apps).

Location Tracking
If your device has GPS capability it will be used by GadgetTrak to get the most accurate location possible. Even without GPS, GadgetTrak can use cell towers and/or advanced Wi-Fi positioning technology to pinpoint the location of your device usually within a few meters.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Continued use of GPS can dramatically decrease battery life. For better battery performance, deactivate tracking until the device is lost. The GadgetTrak app does not use GPS and will not impact battery life when tracking is disabled (even if the Navigation icon appears).

Push Notifications
GadgetTrak automatically sends a discrete message to your device, enticing the thief to initiate a tracking report.

Camera Reports
Snap a photo with the built in camera(s) to collect crucial evidence to help Police catch the thief.

Pros and cons of GadgetTrak app for iPhone and iPad

GadgetTrak app good for

Great app as iphone theft is probably already a big issue already. A little off if the iPhone is indoor but this is a limitation of the phone itself. Hiding the icon would be a great idea if possible, so the thief wont be able to change the URL. Also having the possibility to send offline messages to the phone as SMS to warn the thief, as well to have the possibility to override and change the password lock for the phone would be an awesome feature.

This app is amazing, it has never failed to five me the location of my iphone no matter where it is. This is a must have for all iPhone owners!

One day I couldent find my iPod and I was panicking and I remembered that I had this on it so after searching I found that my iPod was in my friends friends hand bag ... Must have for iPhone/ipod

Great app but needs to be able to find iPhone location without clicking the app In the iPhone if it is posible please post with reply

This is a great traking application! But I think that maybe the app should me disguised as a game so some one would run it more often

This app is adorable, featurerich and has a mint finition. Useful when you lost your iphone/ipod touch or someone stole it, you track everything and you know where it is!! GET THIS APP

Some bad moments

Comprei o app e a função fotografar dentro do app. Só que não está funcionando nada. Entrei em contato com o desenvolvedor e estou aguardando uma solução. Hello, I bought your application "GadgetTrak" and does not work. Does not work on the map. Photo function does not work. Please tell me how this enscina app. Why I paid $ 3.99 by applying the function of photo $ 0.99. The function shoot the thief is more important. I was attracted to purchase this app for feature photo. I send you step by step tutorial to my email ... Why am I so frustrated with this purchase. If this application does not work, I want my money back.

It does not work. Does not send emails nor take pictures - yes, I bought both. It is a waste of time and money. Save your money, this apps does not work as promissed. It only takes pictures if you open the apps with your password. But how a thief would do it? Support does not exist, they do not answer our questions.

It is a farce.The map do not work. I downloaded all maps and google earth and others to see if it worked! I was wrong! I want my money back! disappointment!

I send mail to THE manufacturer But he does not return me to help me. I send THE Message in portuguese and inglish for about a month.

This will only work if the person who has the iPhone can be convinced to run this app. The name Trak might make them suspicious. The app should have a user configurable icon so you can make it look like a game. Ive removed the app because my iPhone is password protected. If someone finds it I dont want them accessing my email, contacts etc. With a password protected iPhone the finder cant run the app making it useless. The only way this would work is if the app was able to run in the background all the time like their MacBook version.

Such a useful software But I dont understand even if the device is stolen,the thief has to click and open the software for the owner to track. Why would they want to surf
